A numerical technique is presented for solving three dimensional compressible flows using a nonisentropic lambda formulation and an implicit scheme. The governing equations are given in a general orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system, discretized using a two level implicit Euler time stepping and upwind spatial differences, and solved by means of a block point Gauss-Seidel relaxation procedure. Results are presented for flows in curved ducts.

Abstract

A numerical technique is presented for solving three dimensional compressible flows using a nonisentropic lambda formulation and an implicit scheme. The governing equations are given in a general orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system, discretized using a two level implicit Euler time stepping and upwind spatial differences, and solved by means of a block point Gauss-Seidel relaxation procedure. Results are presented for flows in curved ducts.
