This paper provides a theoretical and numerical analysis of Fluctuation Splitting schemes on quadrilateral and triangular cells for the solution of the advection-diffusion equation and of the euler equations. A procedure is provided to design high-order-accurate schemes for triangular cells and unsteady problems using an implicit scheme and a dual-time-stepping approach.

Abstract
