A resampling method, so-called bootstrap, is proposed for monitoring the energy efficiency of PV plants. It is able to approximately describe the sampling distribution and its peculiarity consists in taking preliminary information about the population of the data, whichever its distribution is. The paper proposes the application of the bootstrap technique on the energy dataset of a real photovoltaic plant located in Italy. The proposed technique represents an upgrade for a specific part of some monitoring procedures of PV plants.

Abstract

A resampling method, so-called bootstrap, is proposed for monitoring the energy efficiency of PV plants. It is able to approximately describe the sampling distribution and its peculiarity consists in taking preliminary information about the population of the data, whichever its distribution is. The paper proposes the application of the bootstrap technique on the energy dataset of a real photovoltaic plant located in Italy. The proposed technique represents an upgrade for a specific part of some monitoring procedures of PV plants.
