This chapter is based on findings emerged as part of COST Action TU1001. The findings particularly focus on Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in order to identify success factors leading to successful projects and assess KPIs that are able to monitor performance as conducted by the respective Working Group. The case study approach has been a key research method in the research of PPP in transport within COST Action TU1001 and with respect to identifying Critical Success Factors in particular. More specifically, a case study template was developed for the purpose of data collection to maintain consistency. A section called performance monitoring was added to the template to identify the CSFs and KPIs. The main idea of the KPIs table was to identify the scale of success in each and every project in terms of the given KPIs and performance measures. Assessments were made using appropriate Likert scales or a colour-coded theme.
