Randomness is mostly used in choice models to represent uncertainty andtherefore the potential for different choices; in such a case, choice probability isthe outcome of the model processing. In this paper, instead of Probabilitytheory, the use of Possibility theory is examined in detail, with regard totransportation problems; then the influence of information provision on drivers’behaviour is examined according to Uncertainty-base Information Theory.
