A method for the sizing of photovoltaic plants in based on the evaluation of the LLP parameter (Load Loss Probability), defined as the average monthly load fraction not supplied by the plant itself. In this study the LLP parameter is determined by simulating the operation of a photovoltaic system under the typical climatic conditions of Italy. This allows determination, for each system, of the values of the collecting surfaces and of the storage capacity.

Abstract
