Il rilievo, il restauro e la storia per la conoscenza e la tutela dell’architettura fortificata

The fortified architectures built for defense and military control of an entire territory, over time, have formed an inseparable relationship with it, despite the transformations, manipulations, adaptations, abandonments, destructions, contributing to mark the identity characteristics of the places, of the settlements, and of the individual communities that recognize their origins, their history in that structure. It is from this acknowledgment that the need arises to extend and deepen the studies, now under way for some decades, with the aim of knowing, protecting and promoting this extraordinary architectural, archaeological and landscape heritage inextricably linked to the territorial context to which it belongs.

Le architetture fortificate sorte a difesa e controllo militare di un intero territorio, nel tempo, hanno stretto con esso un inscindibile rapporto, nonostante le trasformazioni, le manipolazioni, gli adattamenti, gli abbandoni, le distruzioni, concorrendo a segnare i caratteri identitaria dei luoghi, degli insediamenti, e delle singole comunità che in quella strutturazione riconoscono le proprie origini, la propria storia. E' da questo riconoscimento che nasce l'esigenza di estendere e approfondire gli studi, ormai avviati da alcuni decenni, con l'obiettivo di conoscere, tutelare e promuovere questo straordinario patrimonio architettonico, archeologico e paesaggistico indissolubilmente legato al contesto territoriale di appartenenza.
