Abstract

A numerical method is presented for feasible initial self-stress design of modular tensegrity grid structures. Geometrical symmetric structures are considered by means of number of member groups. Unilateral mechanical behaviors of elements are taken into account by means of a linear combination of the coefficients of independent self-stress modes. Two numerical examples are presented
