Today, the analysis of huge amounts of data coming from sites distributed geographically can be problematic for both private and public organiza- tions involved in scientific and technological research as well as in indus- try. Thus, the aim of the study is to produce value added knowledge in order to orient and support strategic decision-making. In this chapter we define an innovative process of knowledge discovery starting from struc- tured and unstructured data for the realization of new e-services for knowl- edge. This process is designed by using the service oriented architectural pattern and implemented by using the Web Services and BPEL Technolo- gies.

Abstract
Today, the analysis of huge amounts of data coming from sites distributed geographically can be problematic for both private and public organiza- tions involved in scientific and technological research as well as in indus- try. Thus, the aim of the study is to produce value added knowledge in order to orient and support strategic decision-making. In this chapter we define an innovative process of knowledge discovery starting from struc- tured and unstructured data for the realization of new e-services for knowl- edge. This process is designed by using the service oriented architectural pattern and implemented by using the Web Services and BPEL Technolo- gies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
