Abstract
The treated topic was suggested by a real experience. It is the issue of "removal of additions", one of the most debated in restoration, which involves historical choices prior to technical approaches, which decide of the success of intervention. During the restoration of the Abbey of Saints Vincenzo & Anastasio in Amandola (AP) a fresco was found dated of the 14th century hidden in the wall structure of a statically unstable barrel vault built at a later time. The disassembly and reassembly of the vault was the occasion to place a brick lunette around the fresco to ensure the distinction between the two construction phases.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
