Abstract

In this paper the accuracy of some digital signal processing algorithms for distance measurements by ultrasonic sensors is analysed and discussed. The authors have fixed their attention on three time-frequency analysis technique (Hilbert, Wavelet and Short Time Fourier Transforms), discussing both the systematic error (due to the finite time resolution) and the random error (due to noise).
