Abstract
The Lighthouses are a terrestrial navigation infrastructure arranged in a linear sequence along the coastline and are elements of the sea's space measurement. They introduce a narrative and descriptive dimension of their relationship through the concept of "journey" that values the relationship between infrastructure, nature and territory, becoming integral elements of the landscape. The Lighthouse can assume a representative value of a place through the correspondence of its architectural forms to the physical forms of nature, building the landscape and identifying coastal and territorial nucleuses. In this sense, the infrastructural system of the Adriatic lighthouses represents an important opportunity to reconstruct the founding relationship between land and sea that characterizes the space of the Adriatic channel and put in the system conspicuous places they have identified as many places of high landscape value and tourist resource. The conservation and enhancement of lighthouses open to a new conception of the policies of protection and enhancement, sometimes no longer solely to binding action but guided by a proactive thinking that can identify new life cycles for these structures, through forms and uses that can to interpret the themes of sustainable and organic tourism, of blue-growth, of slow-food, of cultural heritage. The research to which this abstract refers has been directed to investigate the coastal infrastructural heritage of the Adriatic lighthouses, as a set of real stepping stones of unprecedented coastal itineraries and its possibilities of development / reconversion / regeneration able to intercept programs policies and resources of national, cross-border and European governments as the "Valore Paese-Fari" Project, the Italian Government's State Property Agency, the Ministry of Defense and other local authorities, the Adrion Interreg and CBC-ENIMED programs.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
