In this paper, the design of a harmonic reduction system based on passive filter is proposed for a case study based on a realistic arrangement of a petrochemical plant. The test system is characterized by 55 buses, 7 generators, nonlinear loads and electrical drives. The four electrical drives considered in the system are characterized by a rated power ranging from 4 to 15 MW. The aim of the paper is to design a harmonic reduction system able to satisfy the standard IEEE 519-1992 and guarantee a minimal cost solution

Abstract
In this paper, the design of a harmonic reduction system based on passive filter is proposed for a case study based on a realistic arrangement of a petrochemical plant. The test system is characterized by 55 buses, 7 generators, nonlinear loads and electrical drives. The four electrical drives considered in the system are characterized by a rated power ranging from 4 to 15 MW. The aim of the paper is to design a harmonic reduction system able to satisfy the standard IEEE 519-1992 and guarantee a minimal cost solutionI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
