The paper deals with the spectral monitoring of the instantaneous symmetrical components representing the unbalanced and distorted three-phase voltage and current systems generated by inverters supplying AC motors. It is shown that the spectra of the analytic signals corresponding to the above-mentioned components contain the harmonic symmetrical components of positive, negative, and zero sequence. By using the fast Fourier transform (FFT) in conjunction with suitable windows to process the analytic signals, accurate estimates of the harmonic symmetrical components can be obtained so as to verify the quality of the inverter and, particularly, the degree of unbalance and the distortion factors of the generated waveforms.

Abstract
The paper deals with the spectral monitoring of the instantaneous symmetrical components representing the unbalanced and distorted three-phase voltage and current systems generated by inverters supplying AC motors. It is shown that the spectra of the analytic signals corresponding to the above-mentioned components contain the harmonic symmetrical components of positive, negative, and zero sequence. By using the fast Fourier transform (FFT) in conjunction with suitable windows to process the analytic signals, accurate estimates of the harmonic symmetrical components can be obtained so as to verify the quality of the inverter and, particularly, the degree of unbalance and the distortion factors of the generated waveforms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
