In this paper the design of optical filters operating in C and L bands is presented. The well-known generalized approach based on Mason's rule and delay line signal processing has been implemented for modeling multiple ring resonator architectures in Z-domain. Interesting results have been obtained about free spectral range up to 17 THz and very low cross-talk (-16 dB) in the overall transmittance function.

Abstract

In this paper the design of optical filters operating in C and L bands is presented. The well-known generalized approach based on Mason's rule and delay line signal processing has been implemented for modeling multiple ring resonator architectures in Z-domain. Interesting results have been obtained about free spectral range up to 17 THz and very low cross-talk (-16 dB) in the overall transmittance function.
