The integration of electric vehicle stations in DC microgrids allows to enhance their contribution to power system operation schedule, thanks to full controllability and to the possibility of bidirectional energy exchange. In this context, DC microgrid has the potential to take part to reserve provision in distribution network. Abstract

The integration of electric vehicle stations in DC microgrids allows to enhance their contribution to power system operation schedule, thanks to full controllability and to the possibility of bidirectional energy exchange. In this context, DC microgrid has the potential to take part to reserve provision in distribution network. In this paper, the analysis of different technical and economic conditions influencing operation schedule and reserve provision for a realistic DC microgrid with EVs are analyzed by means of a proper optimal programming procedure.
