From the classic models to the contemporary house. Tradition, persistence and innovation, through some meditations of the Great Masters

Although over the millennia, the house of man has evolved and has been enriched by new elements of comfort and technologies, some elements persist within it and define a cultural matrix as important just as the satisfaction of primary needs. From the Greek house, built around the megaron, to the Roman one, built around the impluvium, many distributive and typological elements travel through the millennia and come down to us. It is not a matter of an archaeological, or functional, or only typological value, but above all, thanks to the contribution of the Great Masters, of the importance of how architecture is also a moment of reflection on the human life of man and its interiority (Ἐόhσιϛ) and how this concept incarnates within one’s own home (intra domum)
