With this paper, we would like to propose two equity indicators to evaluate the active and passive access to station-based bike-sharing systems. The main difference from previously developed measures is that the suggested indicators take into account not only those aspects conventionally included when talking about accessibility (i.e., travel time, distance), but also the level of service of the system (i.e., bicycle and rack availability). An application to a test case study helps in understanding the related implications.

Abstract
With this paper, we would like to propose two equity indicators to evaluate the active and passive access to station-based bike-sharing systems. The main difference from previously developed measures is that the suggested indicators take into account not only those aspects conventionally included when talking about accessibility (i.e., travel time, distance), but also the level of service of the system (i.e., bicycle and rack availability). An application to a test case study helps in understanding the related implications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
