This research contribution concerns field activities aimed at the development of a method for surveying the geometric and energy characteristics of buildings at the urban district scale within a methodological proposal for the analysis of the existing building fabric within a Urban Energy Simulation Model (UESM). The starting point of the methodology is the combined survey in the visible and thermal infrared fields. The overlapping of the information collected constitutes the first step in defining automatic recognition rules useful for characterizing the energy performance of the building. This technique is applied to a case study which has allowed, among other things, the analysis of the level of accuracy obtainable in the partial application of the method.

Abstract
This research contribution concerns field activities aimed at the development of a method for surveying the geometric and energy characteristics of buildings at the urban district scale within a methodological proposal for the analysis of the existing building fabric within a Urban Energy Simulation Model (UESM). The starting point of the methodology is the combined survey in the visible and thermal infrared fields. The overlapping of the information collected constitutes the first step in defining automatic recognition rules useful for characterizing the energy performance of the building. This technique is applied to a case study which has allowed, among other things, the analysis of the level of accuracy obtainable in the partial application of the method.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
