Il rapporto design-disegno nei piccoli artefatti. Pratiche, riflessioni e dinamiche di rappresentazione per le maniglie d'autore.

Between theory and practice, this work questions the nature of the handle design, the direct metric relationship between the drawn data, the one thought and, subsequently, realized; between the imaginary data, accessible in the representation, and the real one, on the modality of use of the represented data which also significantly affects the technical-configurative procedures; on the ‘real’ management of planning, formal and executive contents. More specifically, the article on the one hand reconstructs the story of the relationship between drawing and design through the study of the handle artifact from the Bauhaus to the present day, identifying and observing emblematic cases (arthouse handles) intended as fundamental stages in the construction of a dialogic story between project and representation in its double aesthetic and ethical value; on the other hand, it reconstructs an infographic knowledge system oriented to the visualization of design themes linked to the handle artifact through devices which take into account the dyna- mics of representation of the artifacts and morphological qualities towards hybrid media and narrative forms, within the framework of a research experience based on the encounter between the discipline of design and that of drawing and on experimentation strategies implemented through the methods and codes of representative language in a continuous and lively definition of discipli- nary boundaries.

Tra teoria e prassi, il presente lavoro s’interroga sulla natura del progetto di maniglia, sulla relazione metrica diretta tra il dato dise- gnato, quello pensato e, successivamente, realizzato; tra il dato immaginario, accessibile nella rappresentazione, e quello reale, sulla modalità di fruizione dei dati rappresentati che incide significativamente anche sulle procedure tecnico-configurative; sulla gestione “al vero” dei contenuti progettuali, formali ed esecutivi. Più nello specifico, l’articolo da un lato ricostruisce la vicenda dei rapporti tra disegno e design attraverso lo studio dell’artefatto maniglia dalla Bauhaus ai giorni nostri, individuando e osservando casi emblema- tici (maniglie d’autore) intesi come tappe fondamentali nella costruzione di un racconto dialogico tra progetto e rappresentazione nella sua duplice valenza estetica ed etica; dall’altro ricostruisce un sistema di conoscenze a carattere infografico orientato alla visualizzazione dei temi progettuali legati all’artefatto maniglia attraverso dispositivi che tengono conto delle dinamiche di rappre- sentazione degli artefatti e delle qualità morfologiche verso forme mediali e narrative ibride, nel quadro di un’esperienza di ricerca fondata sull’incontro tra la disciplina del progetto di design e quella del disegno e su strategie di sperimentazione attuate attraverso i metodi e i codici del linguaggio rappresentativo in una continua e vivace definizione dei confini disciplinari.
