PHOTOMETRIC PROPERTIES MEASUREMENT METHODS FOR GREENHOUSE CLADDING PLASTIC MATERIALS A correct determination of plastic films radiometric parameters must be connected with the energy emission of the bodies involved in the greenhouse energy balance. The objective of this paper is the application of an innovative method for determining the transmittance values; particularly a weighted average method has been carried out to calculate the transmittance in the long wave I.R. band. Several plastic films for greenhouse covering have been tested and a comparison between the traditional and the innovative methods has been developed. Differences of 150% of the transmittance values have been observed.

La valutazione della trasmittanza nell'IR (infrarosso) lungo dei materiali plastici per la copertura delle serre viene generalmente condotta calcolando la media della risposta spettrale in un determinato intervallo di lunghezze d'onda, metodo che puo’ risultare non adeguato per un corretto bilancio energetico, soprattutto per le serre fredde. Allo scopo di caratterizzare radiometricamente in maniera innovativa i materiali plastici di copertura si è posta in relazione la risposta del materiale alle radiazioni I.R. lunghe con l'emissione di energia dei corpi a temperatura ambiente. Sono state quindi condotte prove spettrofotometriche su differenti film plastici trasparenti confrontando la trasmittanza risultante dai sistemi tradizionali di calcolo con quella ottenuta mediante la metodologia proposta, evidenziando differenze fino al 150%.
