Criteri per il recupero e il riuso del patrimonio edilizio nel territorio alpino. Il caso delle Malghe nella provincia di Trento

CRITERIA FOR THE RECOVERY AND RE-USE OF THE BUILDINGS IN THE ALPINE COUNTRYSIDE, THE CASE OF THE HUT BUILDINGS IN THE “PROVINCIA DI TRENTO” In order to define the strategy for a correct old hut buildings re-use, that has to be enviromentally sustainable and that, at the same time, enables a development of mountain countryside, a study was conducted in order to define: - criteria and methods for a functional correct re-use of old huts in Alpine zones; - the characteristics of Alpine building heritage and the need to develop and promote the summer Alpine cattle pasture; - a countryside analysis, in the Trento District, of the existing old hut buildings, underlining the touristic capacities and land protection of pasture areas; - the possibilities of restoration and utilization for cattle breeding, horse breeding, farm holidays, shelter, residence, catering. In order to make this analysis, thematic maps were used, that enabled to delimit the boundaries and to characterize areas homogeneous as exploitation capacities. The obtained results enabled to make a land analysis that is on the basis of proposals for the recovery and re-use for traditional aim, with a uniform land distribution of alternative activities, with attention to protection of environment and promoting the farm holidays. The analysis carried out, underlined: - the advantages that a correct re-use of old huts in Alpine zones permit; - possible development of farm holidays in Alpine fringe zones; - land and pastures safeguard; - cultural aspects of re-use of old huts for historical heritage of the land

Allo scopo di definire le strategie per un riuso delle malghe compatibile con l’ambiente e che nel contempo consenta uno sviluppo del territorio montano, è stato condotto uno studio volto a individuare: - i criteri ed i metodi per un corretto riuso funzionale delle malghe situate nelle zone alpine; - la consistenza del patrimonio edilizio alpino e le necessità di incrementare e promuovere l’attività dell’alpeggio per i capi bovini; - un’analisi territoriale, condotta limitatamente alla Provincia di Trento, delle malghe esistenti, mettendo in evidenza le potenzialità turistiche e di presidio territoriale dei pascoli; - le possibilità di restauro ed utilizzazione per allevamento bovino, allevamento equino, agriturismo, rifugio, residenza, ristorazione. Al fine di condurre tali analisi sono state impiegate carte tematiche, che hanno permesso di delimitare e caratterizzare aree omogenee per potenzialità di sfruttamento. I risultati ottenuti hanno consentito di effettuare un’analisi territoriale che è stata alla base di proposte di recupero e riuso per scopi tradizionali con un’equilibrata distribuzione sul territorio di usi alternativi salvaguardando l’ambiente, le tradizioni costruttive, il paesaggio e promuovendo lo sviluppo turistico di aree alpine marginali. L’analisi condotta ha permesso di valutare l’importanza territoriale che il riuso delle malghe può esercitare sul territorio analizzato, mettendo in evidenza: - i vantaggi che un’operazione capillare e approfondita di recupero può offrire al paesaggio e al territorio alpino; - le possibilità di sviluppo dell’agriturismo in aree alpine marginali; - la funzione di presidio territoriale e conservazione delle aree destinate al pascolo; - l’importanza culturale che il recupero delle malghe può apportare al patrimonio storico del territorio.
