Abstract | The microstrip leaky-wave antenna has been applied in many elds for its simple feed- ing construction, low prole and frequency scan- ning. In fact frequency scanning, is the most impor- tant character of the microstrip leaky-wave which allows the main lobe scans in the H plane when the operating frequency of the antenna, changes in the leaky region. However, the endeavor to nd the beam-scanning ability at a xed frequency of the microstrip LWA is much easier and cheaper than the scanning frequency one. In this paper the new frequency-xed beam scanning microstrip leaky-wave antenna is reported obtained by a devel- opment of a novel feeding construction. The beam- scanning ability at a xed frequency of the antenna has been achieved with multiple new feeding cong- urations. Working at x frequency of 950 MHz, the microstrip leaky-wave antenna's main lobe, can scan from -11 to +15 around the broadside directio
