We present a model for a laser with saturable absorber which takes into account the transverse modes of the laser. The model is based on a pre-existent plane-wave model. Numerical analysis and description of the transverse mode regimes is presented for the q = 1 family of transverse modes. Two cases are considered: frequency degenerate and non-degenerate modes. Stable solutions, pulsed behaviours and a rotating pattern were found.
