Carbon NanoTubes (CNTs) have attracted much interest in the scientific world due to their excellent electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties. In particular Carbon NanoTube Field-Effect Transistors (CNTFETs), which utilize a single carbon nanotube or an array of carbon nanotubes as the channel material instead of bulk silicon in the traditional MOSFET structure, are now used in many microelectronic circuits for the realization of integrated nano-systems. This book collects nine chapters, dedicated to the analysis and design of CNTFET based analog and digital circuits, showing the main innovative aspects and highlighting the most original research results carried out by us in the last years and developed at Electronic Devices Laboratory of Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. Particular attention, for each circuit examined, was paid to the effects of temperature and noise in order to define the optimal operating conditions. Moreover the techniques proposed for the design of CNTFET based A/D circuits allowed an easy comparison with the CMOS technology. Our intention is that this book can be useful for students of Master's Degree Courses in Engineering, Physics and Materials Science, for graduate students and industrial researchers who are interested in learning about the recent progress and future challenges of this new research field.
