Abstract
A trap (1) for marine sediments, characterized in that it comprises a first inlet opening (10) and a second outlet opening (11) on two vertical sides opposite each other, which are arranged to be an inlet and an outlet for ocean currents, said trap (1) comprising between said two openings (10, 11): an inlet region (12) having a cross-section that diverges in width between the inlet opening (10) and an end section (122) of the inlet region (12); -a sedimentation zone (13) having a cross section larger than said end section (122) of the inlet zone (12) and arranged to allow separation of particles present in the ocean current by gravity; and an outlet region (14) whose cross-section converges in width between the cross-section of the outlet region (14) connecting with the deposition region (13) and the second outlet opening (11), characterized in that the cross-section of the inlet region (12) converges in height between the inlet opening (10) and its own end section (122), the bottom of the inlet region (12) converges upwards, and the cross-section of the outlet region (14) diverges in height between the cross-section of the outlet region (14) connecting with the deposition region (13) and the second outlet opening (11).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
