In the first part of the work, a new vectorial theory has been proposed. This theory is suitable for analyzing non-sinusoidal signals to perform measurements of active and non-active power and identification of the parameters characterizing single-phase loads in order to carry out optimized design of the compensation network. In the second part the techniques employed for sampling and data processing of signals are explained; the digital computer gives the results of measurements of the most significant electrical quantities with a good degree of accuracy. Particularly, the techniques employed for the suppression of negative effects due to spectral leakage are emphasized; these techniques - such as the use of windows and interpolation algorithms - are employed in conjunction with the FFT spectrum analysis routine. Finally a brief description of the architecture of the realized time-dealyed digital instrument is given.

Abstract
Finally a brief description of the architecture of the realized time-dealyed digital instrument is given.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
