The methods for determining equivalent porous medium (EPM) parameters are discussed. The direct evaluation of these parameters are compared using numerical analysis based on several realization of an orthogonal joint network, by means of flow and deformation calculations. The indirect estimate is based essentially on its geometrical characteristics.
