It is shown that it is possible to determine the parameters of d-axis and q-axis equivalent circuits by unusual test results without any simplifying hypotesis on the time constants. A minicomputer is used to record test data points and to analyze them. Algorithms are adopted for the optimization of non-linear functions based upon a least squares minimization of error.
