Abstract

The problem of integrating intermittent renewable sources into power system is object of several studies. The use of suitable storage devices for shaving short term variability, increase predictability as well as improving correspondence to load curves is one of the prospected solutions. In this paper, effects of storage devices coupled with remarkable wind power on Italian day-ahead electricity market is investigated.
