Tunability effects in photonic band gap structures infiltrated with liquid crystals (LC) were discussed. A strong degree of tunability was obtained by acting on the optical anisotropy of the liquid crystal. The reflection and transmission parameters versus wavelength were also evaluated by varying the pretilt angle of the LC.

Abstract
Tunability effects in photonic band gap structures infiltrated with liquid crystals (LC) were discussed. A strong degree of tunability was obtained by acting on the optical anisotropy of the liquid crystal. The reflection and transmission parameters versus wavelength were also evaluated by varying the pretilt angle of the LC.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
