Installation of gas-based power plants and energy carrier availability to final users have given rise to the need of synergies in the development of networks for electricity and gas. Moreover, electrically driven gas compressor stations and power-to-gas technologies open further levels of interaction. In this context, the analysis of interaction of electric power and gas flows and the development optimization of both systems should be carried out. To this purpose, in this paper, a procedure is proposed to analyze effects of exchange limits and energy prices in gas and electricity systems at given load levels. The procedure is applied to a framework of the European system.

Abstract
