In the present paper a qualitative–quantitative approach is proposed in order to define and effectively evaluate suitable interventions for the seismic rehabilitation of historical architectures. This approach, tested on the Augustinian monastery in Trani, takes into account both the qualitative aspects, such as the building technology, and the quantitative aspects, also underlining the importance of a numerical analysis for the evaluation of the seismic resistance. Everything finds its systematization in a detailed and full analysis of the building organism according to an articulate gnosiological escalation.
