Abstract
The use of data-mining numerical techniques has been recently introduced in a lot of scientific and professional fields and it is an interesting challenge also in geology. Data mining permits to extract useful information from data, looking for possible patterns contained by measures or data. Once this scientific knowledge is available, it can be profitably used for many purpose both scientific and management purposes. The authors has recently successfully applied to different engineering geological problem: groundwater dynamics, landslide reactivation an hybrid evolutionary modelling paradigm for data mining (EPR-MOGA). It allows for the construction of explicit model equations, starting from measured data. So it is possible to use this model for forecast and management problemsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
