After nearly a century, the formed industrial district of Bagnoli-Coroglio is undergoing regeneration with a land-use plan that aims to recoup several of the industrial landscape features that radically changed the Gulf of Naples. Two industrial-heritage buildings, know as the TNA buildings, will the converted into an international research and protection centre for the sea turtles (Turtle point), and a permanent museum of the seaa. To preserve the footprint of the area's former industrial past, the old building will be enclosed - in the "Chinese box" fashion -in a new, completely indipendent, outer shell.
