In this paper the electromagnetic (e.m.) and the thermal analyses of a mode-stirred chamber designed to be used for the heat treatment of antique books are proposed. In particular, the e.m. and the thermal perturbations due to presence of metallic insets inside the treated material (paper) are investigated. At last, the temperature measurement results obtained by thermography and by temperature fiber-optic sensor are reported.
