In this paper we will describe how to build a MATLAB Graphical User Interface (GUI) for audio Data Acquisition and Stream Processing. The GUI allows data acquisition from audio devices connected to the PC sound card, stream processing (live visualization on virtual oscilloscope and storage into a text file), and playback over audio devices. The data exchange with audio devices was achieved using the Data Acquisition Toolbox™, the stream processing with the DSP System Toolbox™, and the creation of the Graphical User Interface with GUIDE™ toolbox
