Abstract

Nowadays biometry represents one of the most interesting research fields. The human body is currently measured using mostly optical technologies among which one of the most cost effective techniques is photogrammetry. However photogrammetry in itself is not automatic and normally the correspondences between the same points in different images must be taken manually. In this paper, the authors present a properly designed low-cost photogrammetric system for 3D scanning of human faces and preliminary studies.
