A system to measure the blood arterial pressure is designed and presented. The device has been designed by using the very promising oscillometric method, which does not suffer from the limitations of the well-known auscultatory method. The device makes use of a microcontroller and a Sallen-Key active filter, and allows the evaluation of the systolic and diastolic pressure values. The system, which allows also the transmission of the collected data to a remote computer, has been designed, realized and tested.
