Abstract
The EDGE standard is an evolution of GSM, overcoming the limited data speed. This improvement is obtained using a 3π/8 8-PSK modulation scheme, increasing the available on-air data rate up to 812.5 kbps. The drawback of this modulation scheme is the non constant envelope, demanding a 17 dB dynamic range PA. An easy way to implement the EER architecture is the two-point modulation in the theta-path. The quantization in the high-pass phase path together with the PLL bandwidth causes both a spectrum regrowth and an EVM increasing.File in questo prodotto:
