The spin-polarized current exerts a torque to magnetization and, if it is large enough, it can induce reversal or excite persistent dynamical regime. A micromagnetic model can be used to describe the general features of the magnetization dynamics driven by the coexistence of an applied field and a spin-polarized current. In particular, magnetostatic coupling (MC) between ferromagnets and the classical Ampere field have to be taken into account. A systematic study of the effect of these two contributions will be presented. The main results are that MC reduces the critical current for the switching from PS to APS, and it speeds up current induced switching (PS→APS or vice versa). Differently, the role of the Ampere field is found to depend on the physical and geometric properties ofthe system under investigation and it has to be investigated in each case.

Abstract
Differently, the role of the Ampere field is found to depend on the physical and geometric properties ofthe system under investigation and it has to be investigated in each case.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
