We study in the framework of Statistical Mechanics the influence of the device stiff-ness and temperature in Single Molecule Force Spectroscopy experiments. The results of [1, 2]are extended to systems with more general energy functions. We derive fully analytical expres-sions for the folding-unfolding process of a macromolecule reproducing known experimentaleffects.
