This paper presents the behavior of a stribeck curve due to different micro-Texturing geometries in lubricated non-conformal contacts. Three geometrical patterns were micro-Textured by using femtosecond laser and characterize by using MCR-301 with PAO(poly-Alpha-olefin) as a lubricant. The experimental results provide the significant information, which supports the idea that the geometry of micro-Texturing change the trend or behavior of stribeck curve under different regime during lubricated non-conformal contacts. The parameters of the defined textured geometry for e.g. void coverage ratio and the depth of the micro-irregularities, are also contributing to the friction reduction in lubricated non-conformal contacts. The rectangular micro-Textured sample has the highest void ratio and depth of the micro-irregularities among all textured geometries and it has shown the positive trend in the friction reduction during their stribeck curve. It supports the ideology that the depth and void ratio, despite of the geometrical pattern contribute a lot in defining the trend of the stribeck curve.

Abstract
It supports the ideology that the depth and void ratio, despite of the geometrical pattern contribute a lot in defining the trend of the stribeck curve.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
