In this paper, we will describe how to perform Data Acquisition and Stream Processing using MATLAB (R) and Tools development environment. In particular, the aim is data acquisition from input external devices connected to the PC, stream processing (live visualisation on virtual oscilloscope and storage into a text file) and send data over other output external devices. The data exchange with external devices is achieved using the Data Acquisition Toolbox (TM) the stream processing with the DSP System Toolbox (TM) using the powerful System Objects. The argument is of a significance importance in order to design consumer electronics devices with advanced performances.
