Abstract

In the current regulatory framework and market environment, transmission network is required to perform correctly in a wide range of conditions. The possibility to build network reinforcements implies a careful evaluation of influences on different engineering, social and economic aspects. In this paper, a methodology for technical and economic benefit evaluation of network development projects is proposed. To this purpose, a flow-based approach is exploited, including a market algorithm and network operation analysis with security issues.
