The interest in wideband data transmission over power line communications has increased rapidly. This kind of transmission offers a convenient and inexpensive medium for data transmission. Nevertheless, several problems have to be faced to obtain an efficient transmission. In particular, noise affects these systems heavily and degrades the performances of the channel. Abstract
In this paper the performances of a powerline communication system in the presence of synchronous periodic impulsive noise are analyzed. To this aim, a simulation model is developed and applied to the analysis of the transmission of wideband signals on a ship. Numerical simulations allow to compare the influences of the different noise classes on transmitted signalsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
