The research project aims to develop, at laboratory and then pilot scale sufficient for a subsequent transfer to an industrial scale, a new eco-friendly process for the disposal, recovery and recycling of building materials used in lead-acid batteries. The new process is based on the logic of selective separation upstream of the constituents, as opposed to traditional processes based on the general recycling of unsorted materials. Main objectives: - Development of innovative technologies for the automatic separation and regeneration of the constituent materials of lead-acid batteries; - Design and construction of highly automated pilot plant for the reprocessing of recycled materials from disposal of lead batteries; - Construction of new batteries: an analysis of new materials, and evaluation of new technologies.

Abstract
The research project aims to develop, at laboratory and then pilot scale sufficient for a subsequent transfer to an industrial scale, a new eco-friendly process for the disposal, recovery and recycling of building materials used in lead-acid batteries. The new process is based on the logic of selective separation upstream of the constituents, as opposed to traditional processes based on the general recycling of unsorted materials. Main objectives: - Development of innovative technologies for the automatic separation and regeneration of the constituent materials of lead-acid batteries; - Design and construction of highly automated pilot plant for the reprocessing of recycled materials from disposal of lead batteries; - Construction of new batteries: an analysis of new materials, and evaluation of new technologies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
