The object of this work is to investigate the influence of the array spacing of a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) of antennas on the Angle of Arrival (AoA) estimation precision performed using a phase interferometry approach. The technique is very simple and it is suitable for a full-hardware AoA estimation system implementation. The correlation between array element spacing and estimation quality will be discussed from a mathematical point of view. A measurement campaign was performed in order to validate and empirically quantify theoretical results.

Abstract
The object of this work is to investigate the influence of the array spacing of a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) of antennas on the Angle of Arrival (AoA) estimation precision performed using a phase interferometry approach. The technique is very simple and it is suitable for a full-hardware AoA estimation system implementation. The correlation between array element spacing and estimation quality will be discussed from a mathematical point of view. A measurement campaign was performed in order to validate and empirically quantify theoretical results.File in questo prodotto:
