In this paper, a formulation is suggested in order to calculate the scattering matrix of the two port antenna module with a more CAD oriented approach. Correspondingly, a simple equivalent network is obtained, which is useful in synthesis processes. Some lumped element of the equivalent network are evaluated by typical full-wave reaction integrals, making use of some simplifying assumptions for the current distributions on the slot and the microstrip-line. Furthermore, in order to describe the storage of the reactive energy near the coupling slot toward the patch, a parallel plate waveguide model is used.
