The waterfront city of Bisceglie Study models for reading and representation of an urban boundary. The object of study is the degraded urban fabric defined by the line of the sea in the city of Bisceglie, a settlement of ancient origin located on the Adriatic coast north of Bari. The architectural and urban issues that this part of the city expresses, are addressed to its rightful and proper rehabilitation, which has become the primary objective of the local program. This portion of the city includes many medieval buildings belonging to the old center, with numerous ancient man-evidence, significant from a historical perspective, typological, artistic, ethnological and aesthetic. These material traces have marked this place, along with building more low-value products, which are also real manifestation of human presence and expression of problems and solutions, in harmony with the social, economic and cultural needs of each particular period of time. The recovery and enhancement of buildings and areas bordering the sea is a serious problem to be solved and we believe that the contribution to the knowledge of these territories, pass through concrete communication projects, real cultural products with high information content, easily accessible and usable by those who approach the topics discussed. But, to represent these realities is an extremely complex operation, subjective, ambiguous, and often unpredictable in its results. Also in front of satisfactory theoretical competences, the result is able not to correspond to the expectations of completeness and clarifying simplification. However, through the application of different models studies of the described urban reality, it was possible to compose an articulated scenery of languages and testimonies from which to make to be driven in phase of planning finalized to the recovery and the exploitation of the same environment.

Abstract
However, through the application of different models studies of the described urban reality, it was possible to compose an articulated scenery of languages and testimonies from which to make to be driven in phase of planning finalized to the recovery and the exploitation of the same environment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
